1. Who we are
FootyTactix is a premium sports-content platform created for passionate fans seeking expert insights and deeper analysis. We connect our audience with high-quality predictions, detailed match analysis and exclusive content produced by knowledgeable sports contributors. Our goal is to help fans better understand the games, teams and players they follow while providing an engaging and trusted destination for sports intelligence and entertainment.
FootyTactix operates the website, customer accounts, football predictions and premium-access services described in this policy (the “Service”). For purposes of applicable data-protection law, FootyTactix is responsible for the personal data described here. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@footytactix.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies when you visit the FootyTactix website, create or use an account, sign in with Google or Apple, purchase premium access, view predictions, or contact us. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
Account information. We collect your name, email address, account status and, when you register directly, a securely hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in readable form.
Social sign-in information. If you continue with Google or Apple, we receive the information you authorize the provider to share, normally your provider-specific account identifier, verified email address and name where available. We do not receive your Google or Apple password, and FootyTactix does not retain Google or Apple access or refresh tokens after sign-in.
Purchase and access information. We record the selected plan, amount, currency, payment status, transaction reference and premium-access dates. Payment-card, bank-account and wallet credentials are collected and processed by Stripe or another payment provider and are not stored on FootyTactix servers.
Technical and security information. Our hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, session identifiers, timestamps and related logs needed to deliver and protect the Service.
Communications. If you contact us, we collect your message, contact details and the information needed to respond.
4. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, automatically through essential website technologies, from Google or Apple when you choose social sign-in, and from Stripe or another payment provider when it confirms a transaction.
5. How we use information
We use personal data to create and authenticate accounts; deliver free and premium predictions; activate and manage purchased access; process and reconcile payments; provide customer support; secure the Service and prevent fraud or misuse; troubleshoot and improve performance; comply with law; and communicate important account, service or policy information.
Where applicable, our legal bases include performing our agreement with you, complying with legal obligations, pursuing legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Google and Apple sign-in
Social sign-in is optional; you may instead create an account with email and password. Google and Apple separately process information under their own terms and privacy policies. FootyTactix requests only the identity information needed to create, locate and secure your account. Disconnecting FootyTactix in your provider settings does not automatically delete your FootyTactix account; contact us if you also want the account deleted.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
FootyTactix uses essential session and security cookies so you can sign in, remain authenticated and move safely through the Service. These cookies are necessary for core functionality. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell data for targeted advertising. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.
8. When we share information
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate FootyTactix, including hosting and security providers, Stripe for payment processing, and Google or Apple when you choose their sign-in service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, to investigate fraud, or as part of a genuine business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.
These providers may process information in other countries and act under their own privacy terms or contractual obligations.
9. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where required, we use reasonable contractual, organizational or other lawful safeguards intended to protect transferred personal data in line with applicable Nigerian data-protection requirements.
10. How long we keep information
We keep account and social-login mapping information while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, dispute resolution or legal compliance. Transaction and accounting records may be kept for the period required by applicable law. Security logs and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for their purpose. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted HTTPS connections, password hashing, access controls and secure session settings. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
12. Your privacy rights
Subject to the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable law, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; request portability where applicable; and withdraw consent.
To make a request, email support@footytactix.com from the address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information may be retained where law permits or requires it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
13. Children
The Service is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information to FootyTactix, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
14. Third-party links
The Service may link to payment providers, football sources or other third-party websites. FootyTactix does not control their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to their services. Review their policies before providing information.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Service, our practices or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date. We will provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
